JUDAS KISS- FIVE- BITTER SWEET ✔ ✔ ✔

Steve left in January twentieth for Vietnam. Helen was already tired of him. They had lived in her apartment for the last twenty days. She still had the same small, one bedroom apartment on Mimosa Road in Richardson, the one she had rented when she ran from Roger's home with the bag of money. He was the type of man that wanted his wife to cook and clean and have children and stay at home! He had married the wrong woman! She had married for a very wrong reason! Her experience with men was plenty at her young age of twenty two. She was not about to become a man's slave, or as Steve quoted the Bible, "a man's comfort"! Of course Helen had read the Bible many times and knew it by heart; and could never find Steve's quote. Bible said that men would leave their parents and would adhere to their wives, But never she read any where that it said the women were men's comfort! Helen continued her school and her life as it used to be after Steve's departure!
The day he was leaving, he had to say goodbye to Helen at home and in the morning. She refused to miss her college that one day and to go to the airport with him, like most families did. He was extremely unhappy, saddened, and aggravated with her indifferent attitude! But Helen with an unobtrusive mood told him:
"What is the difference? You want me to be with you for a few more hours and miss my college!! That isn't fair to me! Why men are so demanding? Can you answer me that?"
Steve's large dark eyes filled with tears. How could he tolerate this cold, unfeeling, heartless, beautiful woman? Her bluish gray eyes showed him nothing! He strove to read something in the very depth of her soul; but that was something almost impossible to achieve for anyone when it came to Helen! He did not want to begin a fight on the day he was leaving; nonetheless he said:
"You have a heart of stone! It is so hard to know how you feel!!" That was the last thing he said to her before she left home for college. She did not answer him. She just kissed him once more and left.
For Steve, going to Vietnam was a dream that was becoming reality: a dream of a life time. He had worked for the last six years to become a pilot; however, he had no idea that when the time came, he would be a married man. He had no plan of getting married until he was back from Vietnam. He did not know that he was going to meet Helen! Now he was not sure if he wanted to go to Vietnam and leave this beautiful woman, his wife, behind; even though she never showed any indication of her true feeling! He was going to war as a Air force pilot, which was dream of his life, was married only for twenty days, knew Helen only for four months, and still did not know how Helen felt about him. The only thing he was able to take with him, was that his wife was a great lover, no matter if they had fought that day or not! He always wanted to know where and how she had learned to be so pleasing in bed! Since she told him more than once:
" I've never had time to date! I always had to work and go to school!"
